Movie Review: Observe and Report

Actors:
Seth Rogan, Anna Faris, Ray Liotta

Plot:
S.R is a mall cop, and the story has a multitude of aspects, all of which are to do with fulfilling S.R dreams. S.R takes this girl out for a date, the prettiest girl in the world (anna faris), he drugs her and then has sex with her. S.R tries out for the police academy, and fails his psychological exam because he said so much stupid shit. Then, there is a pervert in the mall, and in the end S.R catches him. S.R also fights the police force, and a knuckle battle with a detective. He also tries out weird, heroin, cocaine with his mexican partner. Then he goes undercover.

What I thought:
THIS STUPID MOVIE IS NOT EVEN WORTH THE EFFORT OF WRITING A REVIEW. IT IS SO CRAPPY, I WASTED 2 HOURS OF MY LIFE. THE JOKES WERE NOT FUNNY, THE PLOT WAS SCREWED UP, S.R'S CHARACTER WAS AN RETARDED IDIOT, THE DIALOGUE WAS LAME. EVERYTHING ABOUT THE MOVIE WAS WORTHLESS.

My score: U (upgradeable, truly shitty)

Movie Review: Land of the Lost

Actors:
Will Ferrell, the-guy-from-tropic-thunder

Plot:
W.F builds a machine that can move to different dimensions, and then he uses it and goes to a prehistoric era- followed by a woman and a redneckish guy. During the journey, they lost the machine and, the storyline is basically to find the machine + dinosaurs+ weird aliens+ chaka + will ferrell's humour.

What I thought:
I'm not a big fan of W.F and his humour, but it did make me laugh sometimes (not frequently), most of his jokes are immature and lame, but there were some that was not too bad. The plot is ridiculous, but hey IT IS A MOVIE, and i accepted that. I don't see much chemistry between the girl and W.F, i think that was some disney thing, they made up to appeal to more people. The concept is stolen from an older version, it had some nice sets and scenery. Dialogue not so witty, mainly due to Will Ferrell's awkward comments.

My score: C+

Movie Review: Crossing Over

Actors:
Harrison Ford, Ray Liotta, Ashley Judd, Jim Sturgess

Plot:
Many stories interconnected and finally meet up at the end, all about the difficulties concerning immigration to the US.

What I thought about it:
There were too many personal stories in this movie, there were more than 5! It was hard to keep track of them all, but all the stories were heartbreaking, especially about the girl accused of being a terrorist, which in effect leads to the break up of her family. Jim Sturgess was utterly adorable :). Will I recommend this movie? No, its too grief/despair/negativeness- its a movie of suffering, and I feel that sometimes its too much to watch despite the good acting.

Movie Review: The Ugly Truth

Actors:
Katherine Heigl, Gerard Butler

Plot:
OCD freak empowered woman who is the 'master' of her own life, likes controlling every aspect and leaves nothing to be unpredictable. Gerard Butler is a jerk who's loud and harsh, doesn't hold back the facts and likes to tell his perceptions on 'relationships' and the nature of men and women. Basically K hates G. G makes a deal with K, that if he could get her a boyfriend, amazingly hot doctor that rescues K half naked, that he'd quit. So she agrees, and changes herself into a seductive women (as if she wasn't in the first place "-.-), and gets her bf. Then she finds out, she has a strong connection with G, but he's a coward. She gets angry, he gets angry they blame each other, then make out on a hot air balloon.

What I Thought:
How can you not love the movie? Deep down, between all those laughs there is an underlying moral that connection always overrides anything else. It's a great rom-com with laughs and a great story, this movie scores high in my books. Although i'd still choose the hot doctorwith the BMW. Or why couldn't K have both? Problem solved :)

My score: B+

Movie Review: State of Play

Actors:
Russell Crow, Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams and Helen Mirren

Plot:
It's too complicated to explain. There's a congressman that cheats on his wife with a spy whore, she's pregnant and the c.m thinks she's a spy so he makes a crazy guy follow her. This crazy guy then pushes her infront of a train, and kills a shitload of other people. Then a journalist, who is sleeping with the c.m's wife tries to find out the story of the organization that employed the spy, its just a web of stories.

Spoiler:
BEN AFFLECK IS THE BAD GUY.

What I thought:
This is a dude-i-kn0w-there-are-better-movies-to-watch-but-i-want-to-find-out-this-storyline moive. Once you are hooked, you are very curious on how the story unravels- after the movie finishes you decide it's not THAT good, but I liked how I didn't guess the ending. The story becomes much more complicated as you watch, and yes you need to use your brain (very tiring). I don't like it, and I don't dislike it. It's neutral, meh.
